I can’t believe it’s been almost 23 years.

Did I need to jump again? No.
Did I start skipping like gravity didn’t exist? Hell freaking yeah, I did! 🤘🏽😎

I’m floating, freestyling, and tryna make it look easy—except for two moments where it seems like I’m trying to cast Binky away like she turned into an asp. 🐍💨 (She didn’t. My arms were just done.)

🎹 Piano Kid Jumps on a Mat (4U Dad ❤️)

🎶 I wanted to quit piano lessons at nine years old because running scales and plinking out Mary Had a Little Lamb was ruining my life. 🫠

But then my dad, who actually had musical talent, sat down and banged out the chords to “Call It a Loan.”

Then he taught it to me, and we dueted—he played the chords, I played the melody.

Fun memory.

💙 My Dad passed away two years ago but is always in my heart. And I swear, sometimes I think he’s watching me skip.

🎟 Tonight: Instead of playing the melody, I’m warbling like a wounded songbird, freestyling footwork with Flash, and feeling like I’m floating.

And for once, I’m making an effort to actually stay on the mat (I see you, @richardheadjumps 👀).

📍 Jumping indoors means 80% precision, 20% praying I don’t smack a lamp.
